AROHA – Where Love Rises ("AROHA," "we," "our," or "us") is an AI-powered companionship and entertainment app developed and published by Riya Bhurse, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

2. Data We Collect

• Account Information: email address, display name, age, gender, and pronouns (provided via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email registration) to personalize your experience. Authentication is handled by Clerk.
• Chat & Voice Messages: text conversations, voice messages, and transcribed audio from AI voice calls, stored to provide contextual responses and maintain your companion's memory.
• Photos: images you choose to share in chat are analyzed by our AI provider to generate a response and are not used for any other purpose.
• Phone Number (optional): used exclusively to place AI voice calls if you opt in to this feature.
• Personality Preferences: partner traits and settings you configure.
• Device Token & Timezone: push-notification token and device timezone, used to deliver notifications at appropriate local times.
• Purchase Data: in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play / Apple and RevenueCat; we receive purchase records but never your payment card details.
• Usage Data: anonymous analytics (screen views, session duration) via Google Firebase to improve performance.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly to provide the core app experience — generating AI responses, remembering conversation context, enabling voice calls and multiplayer features, and sending notifications. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

• Clerk: authentication (Sign in with Apple, Google).
• Groq, Google Gemini & xAI: AI language models for generating conversational and image responses. Your content is not used to train public models.
• Twilio, Sarvam, Deepgram & Amazon Polly: processing and routing of voice calls and speech processing.
• MongoDB Atlas & Render: secure data storage and hosting.
• Pinecone & Neo4j: long-term conversation memory.
• RevenueCat: subscription and payment management.
• Expo & Google Firebase: push notification delivery and analytics.

5. Bond (Couples) Feature

In Bond sessions, your messages to the AI are private and never shown to your partner. The AI may use a high-level, summarized understanding of both participants to provide balanced support, but never reveals one participant's messages or personal details to the other.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app: My Aroha → Menu (⋮) → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all chat messages, profile information, partner data, and long-term memory are permanently removed from our servers.

7. Age Requirement

AROHA is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Subscriptions
